Built for safety, support, and accountability
Usalama Voice brings together emergency action, secure reporting, learning, and coordinated support so survivors and responders can move through the same journey with greater clarity and care.
Mission
Support survivors of gender based violence with safer reporting, service access, and pathways to justice.
Vision
A Kenya where violence is prevented, survivors are supported, and institutions respond with greater speed and integrity.
Values
Survivor centered, privacy conscious, evidence informed, inclusive, and community grounded.
Why the platform exists
Kenya continues to face high levels of gender based violence, underreporting, fragmented response, and inconsistent survivor follow through.
Usalama Voice was created to reduce that fragmentation. The platform aims to make emergency response, reporting, referral access, and case coordination easier to navigate for both survivors and response teams.
The product is designed to support the full journey from first alert through case progression, specialist handoff, and public learning.
Who it is built with
The platform draws on the realities faced by survivors, counselors, advocates, legal teams, medical providers, shelter operators, police, NGOs, and researchers.
That mix matters because each group touches the same case differently. The system works best when those roles can see what they need, act clearly, and hand work off without losing context.
Platform use
Different roles work on the same journey from different angles
Usalama Voice is not one generic workspace. It gives focused interfaces to the people and teams who act on a report, referral, or case.
